Designate students as 'withdrawn' in Applications grid view

Please give me a singular system-wide way to identify withdrawn students in the Opportunity>General Applications>Applications>Current grid -- think Categories offered are Drafted/Submitted/Withdrawn/Archived -- with the power at OA level to designate an application as 'Withdrawn'.

Or maybe this category should be part of Site>Users>All Users>Applicants, since this need exists after application archive as well? Don't know where is the right place...

There has never been greater need to identify non-attending students. Institutions with enrollment drops this fall will have current-year applicant pools full of ghosts, which will inhibit accurate re-awarding and speedy turn-around for desperately needed scholarship support.

I asked about this some time ago and was told to decline each withdrawn student opportunity by opportunity. This is not feasible across hundreds of students in hundreds of awards, not even in Award Mode. It also doesn't inhibit those students from populating into an applicant pool for awards newly added or adjusted at a later time. This issue is not at the award level, but at the application level, so I need a system-wide indicator tied to the application.

We're committed to awarding as close to $0 as possible in a regular year -- and this year it's critical -- but I can't do that when I can't tell if students are here or not.

    Hi Jennifer,

We recently added the ability to mark applicants as "inactive" using your student import file. You can set up the system so that if it finds a certain value for a student in your import, such as "withdrawn", it will recognize that student as "inactive".

If you use this feature, you'll see a new column in your grids to show whether an applicant is active or inactive. Inactive applicants will not receive any emails from the system. You can also set up qualifications so that they will be disqualified for each Opportunity.

You can find more information under the "Inactive Applicants" section in the following article. Let me know if you have any questions on this! https://webfiles.blackbaud.com/files/support/helpfiles/award-management/content/am-manually-upload-data-import-file.html

    Best,
