The issue is, in our system, a disbursement does not show up in the Stewardship - Disbursements grid until the post-acceptance is at "Awarded". This is fine if the scholarship doesn't ask for any post acceptance, because the awarded automatically goes to "Awarded". However, if there is post acceptance, then Advancement is unable to see the disbursement until somebody moves it to "Awarded".
Because it doesn't really matter if they receive a thank you letter, what they would like is to have, perhaps, all Pending, Drafted, Submitted, and Awarded post-acceptance awards get pushed to the disbursements grid.
Could someone go in and move all of the Submitted post acceptance to Awarded, sure. However, that would be adding an extra step in their opinion. What they want to avoid is holding up the donor reporting process because someone never moved a post-acceptance to Awarded on the financial aid side.
